The eight contemporary & comfortable guest rooms are set apart from the rest of the pub, discretely positioned in the grounds for minimum impact on the main Grade II listed building, and enjoying their own private garden area. They are a flint and brick construction, in keeping with many of the houses in the conservation village.

Local Cambridge architect Rosalind Bird can take full credit for this creation. Interior designer, Annie Lambert, completed the look sumptuously to her usual high standards and with no compromise on quality.

All rooms are ground floor and enjoy en suite bath/shower facilities, free internet, TV/radio/CD/DVD and direct dial phone. There is a choice of five Super King (6ft) doubles/twins and three King (5ft) doubles. There are also two rooms that have an interconnecting door - ideal for families and carers. Dogs are welcome upon specific request in the rooms (and in the bar restaurant) for a small supplement and subject to certain house rules that any dog owner would expect (see Terms).

We are delighted to have been included in both the Epicurean and Alastair Sawday exclusive Collections. The Inn has also picked up repeat annual 4 AA Stars, as well as AA Rosettes for our food. Such accolades are well-deserved recognition for all concerned.

Room Names

Each room has been kindly sponsored by a local beer or cyder supplier and sports a fine porcelain beer pump plaque on its door:

1 Wherry (Woodforde's - Norfolk)
2 Nelsons Revenge (Woodforde's - Norfolk)
3 Abbot Ale (Greene King - Suffolk)
4 Old Speckled Hen (Greene King - Suffolk)
5 Aspall Cyder (Suffolk)
6 Augustinian (Nethergate - Suffolk)
7 Regatta (Adnams - Suffolk)
8 Explorer (Adnams - Suffolk)

Guests can also relax in our pretty garden. Our Cambridgeshire walled garden sits serenely with a dovecote, lawns, arbour rail and terraces. A choice of teak tables & chairs, or more informal pub picnic tables, ensures there is a corner for everyone. Thanks to local garden designer, Ian Shooter (Chelsea Flower Show award winner), we are as proud of our garden as our pub and bedrooms.

Oh, and there is plenty of PARKING for our guests.
