The Grade II listed Bar at The Red Lion Inn oozes charm and character with its low ceilings, two Chesterfield sofas, open fire and wooden floor. The bar tables, with their high-backed upholstered settles, are often the preferred option for more informal dining. There are always four local real ales to be enjoyed on the pumps.
We strive to offer you a true taste of the region, with both our food and our drinks. There are always three local real ales on the hand pumps, two of which are semi-permanent fixtures: Woodforde’s Wherry (Norfolk) and Adnams Ghostship (Suffolk), with the other pump rotating between smaller local micro breweries, such as Nene Valley's Release The Chimps or Wolf Brewery's Award Winning Wolf Ale or Lavender & Honey.
We have over 40 wines on offer, supplied by Suffolk’s Adnams Wine and Cambridge Wine Merchants. It’s a pretty comprehensive list, covering the noted regions and containing a few lesser known gems, accommodating most pockets and palates. At any one time 21 of these wines are available by the 175ml or 250ml glass.
